Additional Services
Marketing Advisers (MA) offers additional services that extend beyond the scope of our standard Privacy Policy. To maintain transparency, we provide details on these additional offerings:
- Digital Empowerment Solution (DES): A subscription-based integration platform designed to streamline digital marketing activities.
- Brand Strategy Review: A comprehensive report developed through collaboration between artificial intelligence and client input.
These services may involve specific considerations not covered in the general Privacy Policy. Users are encouraged to review the respective terms and conditions associated with each service to understand any additional data handling practices.
DES Platform
The Digital Empowerment Solution (DES) platform is an integration subscription service designed to enhance your digital experience while prioritising user privacy. The Marketing Advisers “DES integration” is an all-in-one platform that can be used by clients (under subscription) to manage and report on their digital content; with further supporting features available.
To provide clarity on data usage and privacy, we outline the following:
- Main Website Interaction:
When visiting via the Marketing Advisers main website/login at https://marketingadvisers.co.uk, standard cookies are employed to enhance user experience. - Social Media Integration: (client selects social media channels to connect)
Through the DES platform login https://app.marketingadvisers.co.uk this gateway, with unique username and password, enables users to access their bespoke service. Within the service a user will connect their social media profiles, via a standard API (Application Programming Interface with own login & password) provided by the 3rd party social media channel/platform. This connection allows for social media management and content planning. In this context, the platform does not install cookies or any devices that store or retrieve information on the user’s device. - Website Visit Tracking: (optional feature)
The integration platform offers a “tracker” functionality to measure visits to a user’s website. This feature utilises a JavaScript code (tag), not tracking Cookies. This script does not insert any device on the visitor’s device that stores information, nor does it assign a unique identifier to the visitor. A visitors website search, at the time of the connection, references the available public IP databases, to estimate the geographic location, such as country, region, or city. Such IP addresses are not stored. The tracker provides users with data regarding the number of visits and pages viewed. This information is used exclusively to deliver the services contracted by the user.
In summary, the DES platform ensures user privacy by utilising technologies that track visits anonymously, without requiring user consent, as no personal data is stored or processed.
Our integration portal is designed to operate without collecting or processing Personally Identifiable Information (PII) as defined under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). MA do not handle information that can directly or indirectly identify an individual, ensuring full compliance with data protection regulations concerning personal data. - AI integration: (optional feature)
The DES integration offers an optional AI chat called the DES AI Engine. This Beta AI facility is intended to support the user by bringing an AI support feature into the integration.
Key points to note:
(i) AI Engine is designed to simplify the integration of large language models (LLMs), in this case via an API interface with ChatGPT provided by OpenAI. Users are bound by the terms of use, privacy policies by this AI service provider.
(ii) AI Engine serves as an intermediary tool for using AI services, and does not guarantee the accuracy or appropriateness of the content generated by the AI.
(iii) You are solely responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and managing the content generated by the AI Engine.
(iv) API Data Usage: OpenAI does not use data submitted through their API to train or improve their models. OpenAI may securely retain API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days to monitor for abuse or misuse.
In summary, when content or data is added into the AI Engine by a DES user, the data is processed through OpenAI’s API, which does not use the data for model training and retains it for a limited period to detect abuse. The AI Engine does not store data externally, placing the onus on users to ensure compliance with relevant data protection laws. - Google News Alert: (optional feature)
Integrated within DES platform is a pre-configured Google Alert for “UK Schools” news updates. To maintain transparency and comply with data protection regulations, we include this section to address this feature and to reassure that personal data remains unaffected.
(i) The alert is pre-configured by the MA-DES team and does not require users to provide personal information.
(ii) Users receive news (web stories) updates relevant to “UK Schools” topics within the platform, which is set to auto refresh every 30 minutes.
(iii) No personal data is collected, stored, or shared with Google or other third parties through this feature.
Brand Strategy Review Process (optional feature)
As part of our commitment to providing comprehensive brand strategy reviews, we combine AI-driven analysis with human expertise. This process involves collecting and processing specific information from your school to deliver tailored insights.
Data Collection and Use
To conduct the brand strategy review, we collect the following information:
- School Information: Details such as your school’s name, website URL, and social media profiles.

Data Processing and Storage
The collected data undergoes analysis through our AI tools and is reviewed by us to ensure accuracy and relevance. We are committed to the following data protection principles:
- Lawful Basis: Processing is based on your explicit consent, obtained when you submit the required information for the brand strategy review.
- Data Minimisation: We collect only the information necessary for the purpose of the review.
- Purpose Limitation: Data is used solely for developing the brand strategy report and is not repurposed.
- Storage Limitation: Personal data is retained only as long as necessary to fulfil the review process and any subsequent services you may request.
