The third AI in Schools Webinar 4-part series from AMCIS, supported by Marketing Advisers (MA) for Schools and featuring DES, took place on 16th October 2024.
The webinar with 4 school speakers & 1 AI expert gave live insights on the current AI capabilities within schools. The session received fantastic feedback from attendees, with over 500 registered for the series. Easy Wins:
Jack Dougherty, Director of Marketing at Felsted School, highlighted how Canva’s AI tools, such as the Magic Studio Editing features, have significantly enhanced their content creation process. The speed and efficiency with which they produce content and creative materials have improved dramatically, and their video production capabilities have also reached new heights.
Jodi-Lynne Shalgosky, Head of Admissions Strategy & Analytics at Kingston Grammar School, discussed how Microsoft Copilot is supporting a range of activity across data analytics, web code (HTML) creation and expressed how Gen AI is supporting to bring increased efficiency within the marketing and admissions department.
Tom Wood, Head of Marketing & Admissions at St Mary’s School, Hampstead, highlighted how they use ChatGPT and Copilot to generate content and run AI-powered ad campaigns for staff and pupil recruitment. Tom also shared how he is sharing some of his marketing and AI knowledge with pupils.

AI Expert, Jamie Bykov-Brett adviser with Marketing Advisers for Schools showcased and dazzled the power of automation in streamlining repetitive tasks within a captivating demo, saving valuable time in schools’ day-to-day marketing operations. “Wow my mind is blown” said one school marketer on the Zoom chat…
Next-level Software:
Océane Danezan, Marketing Executive from St. James Schools demonstrated the DES Digital platform, explaining how it consolidates social media, website visitor data, online adverting, analytics reporting, and AI-driven into one platform designed for schools.
