An insightful quote from Michael Bhaskar on AI in Education and marketing, preparinf for the series of 4 AI webinar talks in 2024:

Michael Bhaskar

Webinar #1 Guest speaker: Michael Bhaskar.
Michael Bhaskar is co-author of the New York Times and Sunday Times bestselling book – The Coming Wave: AI, Power, & the Twenty-first Century’s Greatest Dilemma.

AI is poised to change the world, and two of the earliest areas that it will impact are education and marketing.

Everything from marketing copy to supporting strategic plans can now be produced at the touch of a button, based on only a few simple prompts. This means that schools will be huge beneficiaries of new ways of communicating, customizing and trialling messaging at a whole new level.

You will be able to target materials down to the specific parent. And these parents will see their children absorbing the many positives of AI, together with having to contend with pupils using the technology in work and other problematic areas like deepfakes.

All schools will need to think about AI means for them. However as well as justified caution, the most pro-active schools will equally, and responsibly, find ways of using it to broaden their reach.
One thing is certain: This is a revolution only just beginning and we will all need to adapt
“.
